South Georgia 30+ Dogs Facing Death- Urgent Call For Help

Do to overcrowding and construction work the Okefenokee Humane Society is facing a desperate situation. We need to reduce our population dramatically by the end of the week or up to thirty dogs will have to be euthanized. We have all breed, all colors, and all sexes. We have a large assortment of pit mixes and lab mixes that are in the most danger. We also have three moms (lab mix, boston terrier mix and a beagle mix) with litters that are in desperate need. I also have a hound with seizures that is at the top of the list. Some of our animals have been neutered but most are not.

Please if you a licensed rescue and have the space to help us by emailing your contact details to:
okefenokeehumanesociety@yahoo.com

Members of the public are asked to refrain from contact the Okefenokee Humane Society requesting info, unless they interested in adopting an animal. We are asking this so we can respond to the rescue groups more efficiently. If you are interested in adopting please email:
okefenokeehumanesociety@gmail.com.

In your email list your name, contact number, address (the name and contact details of your landlord if you are renting), and the type of dog you are interested in.

There are some pictures of available animals on our myspace account, but they are not complete. Any additional pictures that are required will be made available upon request.

Cross Posting is allowed and appreciated. Thank you to everyone!
